Silent Disco is a concept that allows attendees to enjoy up to 3 different sound sources at an event using special headphones. The volume of music at the actual event is piped in through the headphones, so this leaves the ability for people to talk at a normal volume while still enjoying the vibe.
The cost of admission to the event includes rental of a headset. When you check in, you will be prompted to fill out the rental agreement. The rental agreement forms will be available at the registration table. To save time, you can download, print and sign the form found here. If you choose to print and sign the form beforehand, just leave the headset number field blank and that will be filled out upon check in.
Silent Disco can include up to 3 sound sources, but depending on the event, there may be 1, 2 or 3 channels available. Pay attention to the channels provided.
On the left ear, you will see the On and Off Power switch at the bottom. Be sure that your headset is switched on.
On the back of the left ear, you will see switches for Channels 1 (Blue), 2 (Red), and 3 (Green). The system allows for up to 3 channels to be played and provides everyone with the option to switch between channels. Depending on the event, we will have 1, 2, or all 3 channels active. Be sure to pay attention to the active channels and switch accordingly.
On the right ear, you will see the volume knob. This knob is set up with a reverse configuration. This means that turning the knob up, turns the volume down and turning the knob down turns the volume up. Before putting your headphones on, be sure to adjust the volume to ensure that it is not on full volume.
